Boy I am tired, tired and stressed. The job hunt is narrowing down to 2 choices now - I think of them in terms of the east one and the west one, since they each are located about equidistant from where we had decided we wanted to move toward eventually (mountains). The east job pays more up front in guaranteed salary but is a solo position and has more cost built into it to run plus a higher risk in general. But I get to do things the way I want to, I am the boss. I also have to work 24/7 and I think I am too old for that thank you very much. The west job is less up front but with the potential for productivity but I go in as the junior person and not even a partner until the second year. I am such a do it all person it would be hard to be "junior" - but not impossible - just have to remember my place in the hierarchy. At least all the others seem to be normal people, that has been the biggest challenge, finding normal people to work with. Decisions have to be made, deals worked out, notice given, the house sold, etc.
Which brings me to the next issue of contention, the house. We are remodeling the master bathroom - what a PIA. I am now having to keep the house, work full-time, clean, do laundry, cook dinner every night, do all the yard-work except ride the lawnmower, and now also remodel a bathroom. At least the demolition is done and the old tile and mess is gone!!! But, I'D RATHER BE KNITTING!!!!!
On the knitting front: Kiri is on the third and final chart - about half way through the edging then off to the blocking. I even found my blocking wires and pins when cleaning up the other day. Pictures to come!
Ciao
